Established in 1987 as Sathyabama Engineering College by the visionary leader Col. Dr. Jeppiaar, the institution attained Deemed-to-be University status in 2001 under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. Eligibility Criteria for 2027 Admissions
- •B.E. / B.Tech Programs: Candidate must have passed 10+2 / equivalent with minimum 45% aggregate marks (40% for reserved candidates) in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry / Computer Science.
- •B.Tech Biotechnology / Biomedical: Minimum 45% aggregate with Physics, Chemistry, and either Mathematics or Biology.
- •B.Arch: Valid score in NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) or JEE Main Paper 2 along with 50% in 10+2 with PCM.
- •BDS: Qualified in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) and allotted through Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) rounds.

The SATHYABAMASAT Feat
Launched on June 22, 2016, aboard ISRO's PSLV-C34, SATHYABAMASAT is a 2 kg nano-satellite engineered by students and research faculty to collect critical data on greenhouse gases (water vapor, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and methane). Sathyabama maintains an active satellite tracking ground station on campus.
