Founded in 1997 by visionary philanthropists Col. Prof. Vel. Dr. R. Rangarajan and Dr. Mrs. Sagunthala Rangarajan, Vel Tech achieved Deemed-to-be University status in 2008 under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. Eligibility Criteria for 2027 Admissions
- •B.Tech Engineering: Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination or equivalent with minimum 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry (MPC) from a recognized state or central board.
- •B.Tech Biotechnology: 10+2 with minimum 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and either Mathematics or Biology.
- •Age Limit: Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after July 1, 2001, are eligible to apply.
